At the height of the Cold War in the 1960s, the Ivory Coast transitioned from a French colony to an independent nation. Colonel Gerald Perry, an American military attaché, (a spy, in reality) was assigned to monitor the complex political scene.

While on duty, Colonel Perry and his wife, Dorothy, amassed a private collection of tribal artifacts, including numerous hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind items given to him by tribal chiefs and purchased at tribal markets. This unique collection, more than half a century old, is now available for purchase.
